The Riddle of the Three Pastors

Posted by susanb99 on November 25, 2007

The riddle of the 3 pastors:

There were three pastors in prison for preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ in an unspecified non-Christian country. Before being thrown into prison, the first pastor had tithed 12% of his income, the second pastor had tithed 7%, and the third pastor had tithed nothing.

Which of the pastors was in prison because of his disobedience to God?

Keep in mind, all three of the pastors were preaching the Gospel. The only difference was how much money they had given before landing in prison. Obviously money has nothing to do with it. They were put in prison because of their OBEDIENCE to God, not the other way around. Just because one gives money to a Christian church/non-profit organization/evangelist is not the reason for material prosperity.

How many Christians do you know who are locked up for not giving to a church or evangelist? There are many Christians who are imprisoned for preaching Jesus Christ’s Gospel. See this site for more information Voice of the Martyrs
